Formerly known as the “ENCHANCING EMPLOYMENT OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES ASSOCIATION(E.E.P.D.A.) “, the “TALENT REVEAL ASSOCIATION” was registered as a Non-governmental Organization(charity) in November 2005.
At first, several enthusiastic people focused on finding sources of work for the disability groups (especially the mentally handicapped) as their core business.
Former founding chairmen, Ms. Leung Shui Yun, Ms. Lin Xiu Ling (Vice Chair) and Ms. Leung Mei-Xia (Secretary)… etc., successfully assisted 43 mentally handicapped and disabled friends from 2006 to 2008, and found employers in Tuen Mun District.
In 2009, several leaders of the association felt that funding support was limited and some employers had reservations about the employment of the handicapped, so they changed their policy and tended to adopt the form of a social enterprise—that is, to develop commercial projects on their own, to the government or big companies. Institutions apply for funding! In the same year, the name of the association was changed to “Talent Reveal Association”.
In 2012, received a subsidy of HK$200,000 from the ” Digital Solidarity Fund (DSF) funded projects” of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) to train wheelchair friends to learn “Building Websites in the Cloud” so that they can start production and work at home.
